Not only do dryer sheets and fabric softeners contain a laundry list of chemical ingredients, they can gunk up your dryer filters. Try these natural alternatives instead.
Spritz: Fill a small spray bottle with distilled water and 2 - 3 dops of your favorite essential oil. Spray onto clothes and put back into the dryer for the last five minutes of the cycle.
Sachet: Purchase a pre-made muslin bag, use scrap fabrics to sew your own pouch or an old sock tied in a knot to hold 1 - 1.5 cups of dried herbs and flowers for a fragrant sachet you can toss in the dryer. We like dried rosemary and mint with dried orange rind.
